The three apps collect very different amounts, so they are written up separately. Two of them have no account at all.

Bible

No account, and nothing that identifies you. You do not sign in, and the app does not ask for your name, your email or your contacts.

When you download a translation we record that the download happened, and which translation and language it was. We use that to decide what to add next — a language with a lot of downloads is one worth expanding. The record is a count, not a person: it is not tied to you, your device or your address.

If you send a version request from inside the app, we store what you typed: the translation and language you asked for, any note you added, and which language the app itself was set to. Nothing in that identifies you unless you put it there, so please don’t include personal details in the note.

Tamil Christian Songs

No account. You do not sign in to read lyrics or search.

The app reports basic usage so we know whether it is working and who it is reaching:

WhatWhy
Phone model and Android versionSo we can test on what people actually use, and reproduce bugs
Country, and the nearest cityTo know which congregations the app has reached. We do not collect GPS or a precise location.
That the app was opened, and for roughly how longTo tell a working release from a broken one

If you request a song, we keep the title, any note and the contact you choose to give us, so we can tell you when it has been added. If you’d rather not be contacted, leave the contact field empty — the request still reaches us.

A song sheet you share becomes a link that anyone holding it can open. Don’t put anything private in one.

Matrimony

This one has an account, and it holds real personal information. A matrimony profile is by its nature sensitive, and we treat it that way.

WhatWhy
Email addressIt is how you sign in, and how we reach you about your account
Your profile: name, age, and the details you fill inIt is what other members see. You choose what goes in it.
PhotosShown on your profile. Each one is reviewed by a person before anyone else can see it.
An identity document and a selfieTo check a profile belongs to a real person. Used for that check and kept as evidence that it passed; never shown on your profile.
Horoscope details, if you add themShown to members you match with, because many families ask. Entirely optional.
Reports you make or that are made about youSo a person can look into them and act

We do not sell profiles, and we do not hand them to advertisers or data brokers. Other members see your profile; that is the point of the app. Nobody else does.

You can delete your account and everything in it — see deleting your account.

Things true of all three

Who else touches your data

The apps talk to servers we run. We use an email delivery service to send sign-in codes and account mail, which necessarily sees the address the mail is going to. Google Play handles the install itself and tells us nothing about you beyond the aggregate figures in our developer console.

Children

Bible and Tamil Christian Songs are suitable for any age and collect nothing personal. Matrimony is for adults looking to marry and is not for anyone under 18.

How long we keep things

Usage counts are aggregate and are kept indefinitely, because they are not about a person. Requests are kept while they are open and for a while after, so we can tell you the outcome. A matrimony account is kept until you delete it; when you do, the profile, the photos and the verification material go with it.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@tixfar.com from the address on the account and we’ll act within 30 days. For the two apps without accounts there is generally nothing held that is about you individually.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we’ll change the date at the top and say so in the app’s release notes.
